Embroidered Wedding Dress Labels to personalize your wedding gown-a simple design that we will create just for you. This monogram dress label is a simple style that is perfect for any bride!
For Monograms, the monogram can either be the bride's initials, or done with the bride and groom's initials and married last name initial.
For full name or phrase labels:
For this label we will embroider the bride's name, the bride's and groom's names, or a short phrase (such as "Happily Ever After"), and an optional date. You can even choose to put your nicknames on this label--it's a completely personal item, so whatever names you want, you can have! This label style includes two lines of text. If you would like to add a third line, or an additional element (a large initial, or small design), please see the Just Adding Something label.
Dress labels are sent to you directly, and can be sewn in by the person doing alterations. It only takes a bit of hand sewing, so the bride or a family member can do it as well. If you have any questions as to where or how to sew it in, please feel free to contact us.
Please enter the names, phrase, or monogram you'd like in the field below. Make sure to enter it exactly as you'd like it sewn. Also, for the date, enter it in the format you'd like it stitched (for instance, Jan. 1, 2009, or January 1, 2009, or 1-1-09, or 01-01-09, etc).
Dress labels range in size from 2-4” tall X 3-5” wide, but can be a bit larger due to the borders, fonts, and wording chosen.
Light blue is the color of most labels shown.
Please note for monograms: For the bride, her first initial is at the left, middle initial is at the right, and last initial is in the middle, typically larger than the other two. For the couples initials, the bride's is at the left, the groom's is at the right, and the married last name initial is in the middle, again typically a bit larger.
Example, for Susan B. Anthony, Her monogram would be SAB.
For George and Martha Washington, their married monogram would be MWG
Please note on names: Traditionally, for weddings, the bride's name goes first. Seems like, for everything else the husbands name goes first, but in this case the bride gets first billing! Of course, as with anythine else, it's your wedding, so you can do it any way you want to!
Please note: If using full first and last names for both bride and groom, enter them as one line on your order, but when stitched, they will most likely be done in two lines due to space limitations, with no symbol in between (such as "&").
